April 2007 was the beginning of totally unchartered waters. Kinda literally... I seemed to spend quite a bit of time hopping from one ocean to another for a bit there. Honestly, I hadn't ever really planned on being in that place in life; a returned missionary, college graduate, and single. I had never even really thought that I would ever even really work. If you'd ask me when I was 14 "what will you be doing in 5 years?" I probably would have said something that included being married and not really sure what else. If you'd asked me that same question when I was 17 I definitely would have said something about not only being married, but also probably having a kid or two. And if you'd asked me 5 years ago, I don't think that I could have even made up what I've done in the last year, and turns out it includes nothing of marriage nor children. Now my life is nor has been anything spectacular, but in the last year I have found myself asking the question on more than one occasion, "what in life has brought me to this point, right here right now, with these people, doing this...?" And I think that that is what this blog is going to consist of; answering that question that keeps playing around in my mind; "what lead me here?"
5 years from now I have no idea where I'll be, or what I'll be doing, or with whom I'll be, but the last 5 years, those I know about, and those I can tell about.
